TS Polycet 2021: Application Form, Exam Dates & Other Information


Every year, the state board of technical education and training (SBTET) in Hyderabad conducts the Telangana Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (TS PolyCET 2021).

It is a state-level entrance examination that is held for admission to Telangana’s government, government-aided, and private unaided polytechnic colleges.

Candidates will take this exam to gain admission to a variety of engineering and non-engineering diploma programs.

Application Form

Candidates should carefully read the instructions for submitting the application form, which is mentioned below:

  • Candidates can only fill out the TS PolyCET 2021 application form online.
  • Candidates can also fill out the application form in person at any of the local TS-Online/Meeseva/Help Line Centers (Polytechnics).
  • Candidates must fill out the required information, which includes personal information, school information, a prior qualifying test, contact information, and an email address.
  • Candidates must also submit a photograph and signature in the format specified.
  • Take a printout of the application form you submitted and keep it with you.

Application Fee

The fee of Rs. 400/- for SC/ST candidates and Rs. 250/- for others can be charged online or in cash via TS Online/Meeseva. In no conditions will the application fee be refunded.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should review the following eligibility requirements to take the TS PolyCET 2021 entrance exam:

  • Nationality: The applicant must be a resident of India.
  • Age Requirements: There is no upper age limit for applying.
  • Candidates must be from the state of Telangana/Andhra Pradesh to be qualified.
  • The candidate must have completed the SSC from a state or other approved board.
  • Minimum Marks: A score of 35 percent on the previous qualifying examination is needed.
  • Subjects: All subjects, including physics, chemistry, and mathematics, should have been passed by the candidate.
  • Candidates who are already enrolled or whose results have not yet been released are eligible to take the entrance exam.

Exam Pattern

  • Duration of Exam: 2 hours
  • Type of question: Multiple choice questions – Objective.
  • Number of questions: 120 questions (Mathematics – 60, Physics – 30 & Chemistry – 30)
  • Negative Marking: No negative markings. 
  • Marking Scheme: For each correct answer, one mark will be awarded.

Tips for Preparation

Candidates who are interested in taking the exam should review the following preparation tips for the TS POLYCET 2021 exam:

  • First and foremost, make the basic idea crystal clear.
  • Examine your syllabus carefully and take notes as needed.
  • Continue to revise your notes on a regular basis.
  • Develop analytical skills to help you answer even the most difficult questions.
  • To learn the exam template, complete the mock tests and sample papers.
  • Examine previous year’s exam papers.
  • Make an effort to stay fit and stable.

Admit Card

Candidates can obtain their admit cards through the internet. It will be produced shortly after the application form has been submitted. After 2-3 days of submitting the application form, candidates will go to the support line centers to get their hall pass.

If an applicant discovers an error on their printed TS PolyCET 2021 admit card, they can contact the helpline center right away to get it fixed and receive a revised admit card. With incorrect data and a picture on the admit card, no applicant will be able to enter the examination hall.

Answer Key

After the exam is completed successfully, the TS PolyCET response key will be posted on the website. The response key will be made available online.

There will be no opportunity for re-totaling or revaluation. Candidates can estimate their rough marks using the TS POLYCET response key.

The answer keys will be available on several coaching institutions’ websites as well. The authority can also provide the option of filing an opposition to the response key.

The results will be available fifteen days after the test date. Within a week of the announcement of the results, the rank card will be sent out.

Candidates will be assigned a different level, based on which they will be selected for admission to diploma courses. The results will be announced on June 24, 2021.

If the two candidates receive the same number of points, the official authority will use the tie-breaking policy.

It’s essential to qualify the minimum cut-off points. The cut-off is calculated using the previous year’s cut-off trends, the number of candidates who took the exam, and the passing rate, among other factors.

To pass the entrance exam, candidates must score 36 points out of a possible 120. SC/ST candidates must obtain a minimum of 30% in order to qualify for seats in their division during the admission process.


There is no need to fill out a different application form for entry. Candidates should retain their hall tickets until the admissions process is completed. Following the announcement of the results, the comprehensive admission process will be reported in a leading newspaper.

Candidates would not receive a separate call letter asking them to participate in the therapy process. Candidates must pay a fee to participate in the counseling process. The candidate’s option will determine whether or not he or she is admitted.

The counseling will take place entirely online. The certificate will be checked and the choices will be filled out online. After the candidates’ seats have been assigned, they must download the allotment letter and return it to the assigned college with their original documents for final admission.
