JEXPO 2021: Application Form, Exam Dates & Other Information


JEXPO means Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnics. Exams will be held to provide admission to various polytechnic courses such as engineering, pharmacy, and architecture, among others.

The West Bengal State Council of Technical Education administers the JEXPO exam. Every year, a polytechnic examination at the state level is held.

Candidates may apply for admission to a variety of government and private colleges and institutes by taking this test. JEXPO all applications submitted for the only online mode and Exam Mode is Offline.

Application Form

Information about the JEXPO 2021 application form can be found below:

  • The application form will be available online.
  • From April 2021, candidates will be able to fill out their application forms.
  • The registration process will involve steps such as filling out an application form, uploading documents, and paying an application fee, among others.
  • Upload papers, such as a 4.5 x 3.5 cm colored passport snapshot.
  • Candidates have until June 14, 2021, to apply for their online applications.
  • The application will be submitted in person at one of the designated polytechnic centers.
  • Take a printout of the completed online application form and store it safely.

Application Fee

  • The fee can be charged online using a credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI.
  • In no conditions will the application fee be refunded.

Eligibility Criteria

Until applying for the exam, candidates must review the following JEXPO eligibility criteria:

  • Nationality: Indian Citizens. 
  • Age: There is no upper age limit, but the birth date of the candidate for this year should not be later than 1 July 2005.
  • Qualification: 10th Class Pass (Minimum Marks – 35%). 
  • Recognition: Should have passed from a recognized board. 

Exam Pattern

The following is information about the JEXPO exam pattern:

  • Duration of Exam: 2 Hours
  • Type of question: Multiple choice questions – Objective.
  • Number of questions: 100 questions
  • Total Marks: 100 marks
  • Negative Marking: No negative markings. 
  • Marking Scheme: 1 mark for each correct answer.

Tips for Preparation

Candidates should review the following JEXPO planning tips:

  • Examine the whole exam pattern and syllabus.
  • Make a research routine and stick to it every day.
  • Examine sample articles and previous year’s query papers.
  • Make sure you understand the fundamental principles and jot down key points.
  • Choose the right research materials and authors’ books.
  • Do yoga on a regular basis, maintain a balanced lifestyle, and eat nutritious foods.

Admit Card

The admit card will be available on the website in an online format. Candidates will begin downloading their admit cards on June 28, 2021. Candidates should carry their JEXPO 2021 admit card as well as one photo ID evidence to the exam hall.

Candidates can access their admit cards by entering their login credentials, which include their application number and password. Check all of the information on the admit card and print it out.

The JEXPO 2021 merit list will be released in the last week of July 2021. Candidates will be able to access their results through the internet. There will be no option to review results offline or in any other way.

Candidates should carefully review the data on their rank card/results, and should they find any errors, they should contact the officials.

Those whose names appear on the merit list will be contacted for counseling. Take a printout of your score and keep it safe for the admissions process.

In the last week of July/August 2021, JEXPO counseling will be held. Counseling will be conducted entirely online. Candidates would be required to fill out a list of colleges based on their interests during the counseling process.

Seat assignment and record checking will take place during the counseling process. After that, candidates must return with their allotment letter and other required documents to the college or institute to which they have been assigned.

For the verification process, candidates must carry their original papers. If candidates fail to produce the necessary paperwork, their seats will be canceled.

For verification, candidates must present the following documents:

  • 10th-grade report card and certificate
  • Admissions card for JEXPO 2021
  • Certificate of category/caste
  • Certificate of residence
  • Certificate of Medical Health
  • Letter of allotment
  • Photographs the size of passports, etc.
