CUCET 2021: Application Form, Exam Dates & Other Information

Admission

CUCET means Central Universities Common Entrance Test. CUCET (Central Universities Popular Entrance Test) is only held once a year. It is a national test that will be conducted by 14 Indian central universities.

Candidates would be admitted to B.Tech, B.Sc., Integrated B.Sc., M.A, M.Sc., and other courses via the review. Candidates must pass the examination in order to be admitted to these courses at different central universities.

Candidates can be admitted to a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. CUCET all applications submitted for the only online mode and Exam Mode is Offline.

Application Form

Candidates must read the following information about the CUCET Application Form:

  • The application form for CUCET 2021 will be eligible in April 2021.
  • The application form and fee must be submitted by the last week of April 2021.
  • Candidates will have the option of submitting their applications online.
  • Candidates must submit a passport-size photograph and signature in the specified format when filling out the application form.
  • In the application form, candidates should have a valid/working email address and phone number.
  • Candidates must choose the city of their choice for the test center when filling out the application.
  • All relevant notifications and updates will be sent to the candidates’ registered email addresses and mobile phones.
  • In the application form, the authority may also have a correction facility for a limited time span.
  • Finally, candidates must remember to print several copies of their completed application forms for future reference.

Application Fee

  • General/OBC Candidates: Rs.800/- for 3 PU’s (Online Mode), Rs.850/- (Bank Challan)
  • SC/ST Candidates: Rs.350/- for 3 PU’s (Online Mode), Rs.400/- (Bank Challan)
  • PWD Candidates: Exemption from paying the application fee

Payment Option

  • The application fee is paid by Credit Card/Debit Card and Internet banking.
  • Applicants can also pay the fee by invoice before the application deadline.

Eligibility Criteria

Until applying for CUCET 2021, candidates should review the following eligibility requirements:

Nationality

  • Indian Citizens

Qualification

  • UG Courses: 12th Class Pass
  • PG Courses: All candidates should have a bachelor’s degree. 
  • Ph.D. Courses: All candidates should have a Master’s degree.

Exam Pattern

To prepare for the test, candidates should read the following CUCET Exam Pattern:

  • Duration of Exam: 2 Hours
  • Type of question: Multiple choice questions – Objective.
  • Number of questions: 100 questions
  • Total Marks: 100 marks 
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • Marking Scheme: 1 Marks for each correct answer.

Tips for Preparation

Candidates can use the following tips and tricks to help them prepare for the CUCET exam:

  • Make a detailed schedule and stick to it.
  • Make sure you understand the fundamentals and solve the previous year’s question paper.
  • Solve previous year’s question paper, as well as online tests and mock tests.
  • Meals should not be skipped. Consume a balanced and stable diet.
  • Get a good night’s sleep of at least 8 hours.

Admit Card

It is scheduled to be released in the second week of April 2021. By entering their registration ID and date of birth, candidates will be able to download their admit card (D.O.B).

The exam center, date and time, address, exam schedule, and some exam instructions will all be listed on the admit card.

Both applicants will be required to bring their admit cards to the examination center. Without an admit card and a valid photo ID, no candidate will be able to take the exam.

Answer Key

The CUCET Response Key will be available online. It is scheduled to be released in the last week of May 2021. For all students, the authority will issue a provisional response key.

Candidates will be able to estimate their marks using the answer key even before the results are announced.

Candidates would have the opportunity to object to the response key. Until the final response key is released, no candidate will be able to object.

Result

The CUCET results will be available in an online format. In the last week of May 2021, it will be published. It will be prepared by the authority based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance exam.

Candidates must first download their results by entering their user ID and password. The university will compile a merit list for both undergraduate and graduate students.

Candidates who pass the test will be able to participate in different university counseling sessions.

Cut Off

CUCET the candidate’s success in the test will be used to determine the cut-off. It will be released in an online-only format.

The cut-off is determined by a variety of variables, including the candidate’s ranking, the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the test, and more.

The cut-off will be made available online. Candidates must meet the cut-off requirements in order to pass the test and proceed to the next step in the process.

Counseling

CUCET 2021 will be held in the year 2021. The authority will conduct counseling through the internet. Both eligible applicants will be required to engage in the counseling process. Candidates will be assigned seats based on their performance in the counseling phase. Candidates interested in attending a participating university should complete the university’s admissions form.

  • Certificates for 10th and 12th grades
  • Marksheets for 10th and 12th grades
