CG PPT 2021: Application Form, Exam Dates & Other Information


CG PPT means Chhattisgarh Pre-Polytechnic Test. Candidates will be eligible to enroll in all technical institutions in the state of Chhattisgarh.

Candidates may enroll in technical and professional courses in the first and second years (Lateral entry). The Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CGPEB), Raipur, conducts a state-level entrance exam. 

Chhattisgarh Pre-Polytechnic Test all applications submitted for the only online mode and Exam Mode is Offline.

Application Form

Candidates can review all of the information needed to fill out the application form here.

  • The CG PPT 2021 application form has been made available online by the official authority.
  • Candidates are urged to fill in all information carefully, as the official authority will not provide any corrections later.
  • Corrections can only be made until the application form is submitted in its final form.
  • In the specified format, candidates must upload their signature, image, and thumb impression.
  • After submitting the application form, candidates should hold a printout of it.

Eligibility Criteria

Here are the eligibility requirements for the CG PPT. Candidates may be eligible for counseling if they meet the requirements mentioned below.

  • Nationality: Indian nationals (Interested students will be able to apply for the examination only while staying as permanent residents in the state of Chhattisgarh.)
  • Age: There will be no lower age limit criteria in CG PPT and the upper age limit will be up to 33 years for OBC / SC / ST category candidates.
  • Qualification: Should have passed 10th Class. 
  • Minimum Marks: 35% Marks
  • Recognition: Should have passed from a Chhattisgarh state or any recognized board. 
  • The applicant must be a resident of the state of Chhattisgarh.

Exam Pattern

Candidates must review the exam pattern to become familiar with the exam format.

  • Duration of Exam: 3 Hours
  • Type of question: Multiple choice questions – Objective.
  • Number of questions: 150 questions
  • Total Marks: 150 marks 
  • Negative Marking: No negative markings. 
  • Marking Scheme: 1 mark for each correct answer.

Tips for Preparation

Candidates can use the following tips and tricks to help them prepare for the CG PPT exam:

  • Refresh your memory on the fundamentals and recall the quick tricks for answering the questions.
  • Take both online and offline mock assessments and sample articles.
  • Choose the best study material, which includes model papers, unanswered and solved papers from reputable sources.
  • Make a detailed schedule and stick to it on a daily basis.
  • Keep fit and stable by exercising on a regular basis.

Admit Card

In the second week of June 2021, the official authority will be announced. The CG PPT admit card will be made available online.

The exam date, time, and place, as well as the candidate’s details, will be printed on the admit card.
To take the test, you must carry your admit card with you to the examination hall. Along with the admit card, candidates must bring one original photo Id evidence.

Answer Key

The official authority will issue the response key a few days after the entrance test. In the third week of June 2021, it will be published. Candidates will also have the option to object to the response key until the fourth week of June 2021.

Candidates will measure the rough marks they will receive in the entrance exam with the aid of the response key. After obtaining the candidates’ objections, the final response key will be published (if any).


Candidates can access their results by entering their Registration ID and birth date. The results will be available online in the first week of July 2021.

Candidates should double-check their results. Candidates should review their entrance exam results to see how well they performed.

The authority would establish a different merit list for admission to the various polytechnic institutions in the state.

Cut Off

Candidates will be assigned seats based on their performance in the CG PPT 2021 cut-off. On the basis of the CG Vyapam’s cut-off, candidates will be invited for counseling.

The cut-off will be determined by a variety of factors, including the exam standard, total number of seats available, and reservation requirements.

The cut-off score is the minimum mark that applicants must achieve in order to be considered for entry to the desired program. The cut-off would include a list of the opening rank, closing rank, and minimum marks for a specific course’s range.


Candidates will be assigned seats based on centralized counseling, which will be based on the qualifying test. The schedule for counseling will be published in the leading state/national newspapers and on the official website.

There will be no separate notification sent to the candidates inviting them to the counseling session. To engage in counseling, you may also pay a fee. Before being assigned, candidates must have their documents checked at a document review center (DVC).

At the time of counseling, the following documents are required:

  • A 10th-grade report card or birth certificate
  • As appropriate, mark sheets from 10th/12th grade, graduation, diploma, or ITI
  • Marking sheet for a common entrance examination
  • Chhattisgarh’s residence
  • Certificate of Category (If applicable)
