BHU 2021: Application Form, Exam Dates & Other Information

Admission

BHU means Banaras Hindu University. Banaras Hindu University is a well-known central university in Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi. Every year, the university holds a university-level entrance exam (UET & PET) for admission to undergraduate and graduate programs.

Only applicants who pass the UET and PET will be admitted to UG and PG programs. Students must apply for admission to MBA programs using their CAT scores.

The application process for UG/PG courses will begin in April 2021 and will be conducted entirely online. Banaras Hindu University all applications submitted for the only online mode.

Application Form

Candidates must read the following information about the BHU 2021 Application Form:

  • UET and PET applications for BHU 2021 can be completed online. There will be no offline mode available.
  • The application process for UET and PET will begin in the second week of April 2021.
  • The form will be filled out in six stages: online registration, identity information filling out, course selection & online application form entry, uploading of a photograph and signature, payment of the application fee, and printing of the application form.
  • If the application form is submitted without the necessary application fee or if any other inconsistency is discovered, the authority has the right to refuse it.

Application Fee

  • UET & PET: Rs.500/- (General & OBC categories Candidates), Rs.250/- (SC/ST Categories Candidates)
  • Shastri (Hons.): Rs.200/- (General categories Candidates), Rs.250/- (reserved Categories Candidates)
  • MBA: Rs.2000/- (General categories Candidates), Rs.1000/- (SC/ST Categories Candidates)

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must read the BHU 2021 Eligibility Criteria before filling out the application form:

For a B.Com (Hons) degree:

  • Passed a qualifying exam from a recognized board at the 12th level or equivalent.
  • Subjects required: Economics/Commerce/ Computer Science/ Maths/ Finance/ Financial Markets Management at the 12th grade level.
  • Requisite Grades: Passed 12th grade with a minimum composite of 50% on the qualifying test.
  • Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 22 years old as of July 1, 2021.

For the B.A. (Hons) Arts program:

  • Passed a qualifying exam from a recognized board at the 12th level or equivalent.
  • Minimum Grades: Passed 12th grade with a minimum grade point average of 50%.
  • Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 22 years old as of July 1, 2021.

For LLB (Hons) students, the following are the requirements:

  • Passed a graduate degree in BA, B.Sc, or B.Com from a recognized university or its equivalent.
  • Minimum Grades: Passed the graduation standard with a 50 percent grade.
  • Age Requirement: Applicants must be under 30 years old on July 1, 2021.

For the MBA:

  • Passed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized board in Agriculture, Technology, Medicine, Education, Law, or it’s equivalent.
  • Minimum Grades: Achieved a cumulative grade point average of 55 percent (45 percent for ST/SC) from an accredited university or institute.
  • Many in the final year of their qualifying test are also eligible to apply.

Exam Pattern

Candidates must read the following information about the BHU Admission Exam Pattern:

In the case of UET:

  • UET will be conducted in an online CBT format.
  • Document Language: English and Hindi will be the paper’s medium languages.
  • Time Limits: Papers will be 2 hours or 212 hours long depending on the course.
  • Types of Questions: The paper will include multiple-choice questions.
  • Number of Questions: There will be 150 questions in the report.
  • Total Marks: There will be 450 points on the paper.
  • Marking scheme: Each correct answer will receive three points. For each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted.

In the case of PET:

  • The exam will be conducted in an online format.
  • The time limit for completing the paper is two hours.
  • The paper will be divided into two sections: A and B.
  • The paper will contain 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each segment will contain 60 questions.
  • Total Marks: The exam will be worth 360 points.
  • Marking Scheme: Three points will be awarded for each correct answer. For each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted.

Tips for Preparation

Candidates can use the following tips and tricks to help them prepare for the BHU exam:

  • Start studying for the exam as soon as possible so you don’t forget something.
  • Before you begin studying, get a quick overview of the exam pattern and syllabus.
  • Make a list of all of the interesting topics you learned about during your training.
  • For good practice, solve past papers and sample papers.
  • Exam research materials, often recommended by experts and available online or offline, can be used to prepare for the exam.

Admit Card

BHU 2021 Admit Card releasing in online mode. From the fourth week of April 2021, BHU 2021 admit cards will be available online for UET. It will be eligible for PET from the last week of May 2021.

Admit cards will be sent to students’ registered email addresses and phone numbers. Students must enter their email id or registration id to obtain a BHU admit card.

On the day of the test, candidates must bring identification with them for verification. Students must contact officials before the exam day if there is a difference on their admit card.

Answer Key

The BHU Response Key for UET and PET will be available for download on the university’s website. It will be sent to students in PDF format. After the exam is completed, it will be available in the second week of June 2021.

Students can receive the BHU response key in several sets, such as Set 1, Set 2, and Set 3, and so on. It will assist candidates in calculating their likely entrance test scores.

Result

BHU 2021 Result will be available online in the third week of June 2021. Students will be asked to enter their roll number or other credentials in order to verify their BHU results.

The qualifying marks will be determined by Banaras Hindu University. The university will notify candidates of their grades, overall merit, and category merit via email or SMS.

Counseling

BHU Counseling will take place on campus in an offline format. Students must enter their options, be assigned seats, and report to the designated institution in order to engage in the counseling session.

Candidates can access the website to see the full BHU counseling schedule. Students may also receive a letter inviting them to engage in counseling.

For the document authentication process of counseling, students must bring all of their records with them.
